Caltec was formed as a management buy-out from previous employers in 2003. Whilst the company is still young, the core technical team has been working together on Caltec technology for over 10 years, throughout its development, with long experience in the oil and gas industry.

Investment finance from Norwegian firm Energy Ventures helped the company expand its customer base, the range of solutions and company growth, with new recruits from both inside and outside the industry.
