Project Background

Jet pumps can be used with compressors or high pressure (HP) wells to boost production from low pressure (LP) wells. The Caltec solution can:

  • Increase LP production usually by 25%- 40%
  • Increase system capacity
  • De-bottleneck the compressor
  • Reduce back pressure on LP wells, to help keep them flowing.
Caltec is an industry leading in returning flare gas to reproduction.
How it works:

Motive fluid for the jet pump is provided by a HP well or HP gas borrowed from a compressor output.

Inside the jet pump, the HP gas is used to create a low pressure zone at the LP inlet, reducing back pressure, and so boosting production from the LP well, usually by 25% to 40%.
