Capturing Unwanted Gas Before it is Flared - "Caltec – leading the drive to produce cost effective solutions for environmental protection”

Caltec has been awarded a concept study to assess Caltec’s Surface Jet Pumps (also known as SJP, Ejectors & Eductors) technology for unwanted low pressure off-gas capture on an offshore platform (North Sea). The anticipated performance of passive SJP will be assessed by using two different type of high pressure fluid sources (high pressure gas from export compressor and high pressure produce water) already present at client’s platform. This approach will eliminate the need for a new dedicated compressor and save on local unwanted emissions and CO2 footprint. Caltec will also give the client guidance on selecting a local fabricator for manufacturing.
