Collaboration Agreement with Statoil

Caltec has signed a collaboration agreement with Statoil for the development of compact inline separation technology.

Caltec is a technology company developing a proprietary inline separation and boosting technology for technically challenging upstream applications including offshore and subsea.

The two companies wish to work together to test the application of the separation technology for gas/liquid separation, including:

• Gas-liquid separation
• Stabilising of oil
• Oil and water separation

Pål Eirik Hedne said: "It is Statoil's ambition to develop a configuration of compact/inline separation units and control systems for well stream separation fit for service both topside and subsea. Statoil and Caltec have agreed to co-operate in this development of technology and equipment."
