Slug Calming

Riser-induced severe slug flow is a widely recognised concern for the viable production of hydrocarbons. Recent work with I-SEP®, Caltec’s proprietary compact cyclonic gas liquid separator placed top-side, have shown significant benefit when compared to choking at the top of the riser. The benefits of I-SEP® include increased production, reduced flow shearing and multiphase separation.
